How To Pair Bourbon With Steak

Start with the flavors you enjoy, then ask our team for a pour to match your plate. A good pairing should make sense to your palate.

Start With Your Own Taste

Before choosing a bourbon, think about what you already enjoy. Do you like sweeter flavors, a little spice, or a dry finish? Tell the bartender what you usually order and how much you want to spend. You don’t need to know a bottle’s history to ask for a recommendation.

Think About The Whole Plate

The cut of steak is only part of the pairing. Butter, sauces, pepper, and sides all change the bite. On our regular dinner menu, Filet Medallions come with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted peppers, smoked sea salt, and whiskey butter. Ask the team to suggest a pour with that preparation in mind.

You can see the dish and its current price on the dinner menu. Our separate Thursday Steak Night page has the special’s current details and reservation information.

Keep The Choice Comfortable

Ask about the pour size, price, and strength before ordering. A more expensive bottle isn’t automatically a better match for your dinner. Start with a style you enjoy, and let the food and the conversation guide the choice.

If you prefer your whiskey with ice or a little water, say so. There’s no need to order it a particular way to enjoy the meal. You can also choose a cocktail or skip the whiskey entirely.

Let Us Help At The Table

Explore the whiskey collection for an introduction, then ask what’s available when you visit. Bottle availability changes, so a guide is a starting point rather than a promise that every pour is on the shelf.

Find us at 420 Franklin Avenue in downtown Waco. Whiskey service is for guests 21 and older.

Menu prices and availability may change. Please ask our team about ingredients, allergies, and today’s offerings.
